Karnataka Bank is said to a bank with pan-India footprints. It is one of the most technologically advanced banks of India. The candidate should hold a post-graduate degree in any discipline or a graduate in engineering, agricultural science, law with experience at the bar. The candidate’s age should be of 30 years to be eligible for Karnataka Bank PO Examination. The examination would be in form of a written test and an interview. The test will be conducted for 3 hours. This is a combined test of objective and descriptive type questions. The total mark of the objective test is 250. The duration of objective type test will be 2 hours and it will be for 200 marks. The test has four sections. Part I deals with English Language viz. grammar, vocabulary and comprehension. Part II deals with general awareness, marketing & computers. Part III will contain questions on data analysis and interpretation. Part IV will evaluate on reasoning. The descriptive test will have descriptive questions pertaining to comprehension, short precis, letter writing & essay of 50 marks. It has to be done in one hour. Karnataka Bank Clerk Examination

The bank has certain eligibility criteria to recruit people in clerical posts. The candidates should be of 28 years of age at the time of taking the take the Karnataka Bank Clerk Examination.. The aspirant should have secured a minimum of 50% marks from any recognized university. Candidates should have a basic knowledge of computer and should be able to speak English and Hindi.

The merit list of Karnataka Bank Clerk will be prepared on the basis of a written test and an interview. Only if you clear the written examination, you will be entitled to sit in the interview.

There is no precise syllabus to prepare for the exam. However, the paper will have four sections. Section 1 will pertain to General Awareness. There will be 40 questions from current events. Part 2 will have 40 questions on General English. The questions will be based on passage comprehension, common errors, sentence improvement, fill in the blanks, paragraph rearrangement and antonyms and synonyms. Paper 4 will have 40 questions in Quantitative Aptitude. You should study the areas like – HCF and LCM, numbers system, square roots, percentage, interest, average, ratio and proportion, profit and loss, partnership, number series, permutation and combination, mensuration and data interpretation. The last section will be on Reasoning Ability. There will be 40 questions from alphabet test, analogy, odd man out, symbol and notation, coding and decoding, arrangement, blood relation, distance and direction, calendar, statement and conclusion and data sufficiency. Altogether paper is not difficult to solve. Speed is the key factor to achieve success in the both the examinations.
